Stéphane Humbert-Basset, graduated from the Ecole of Beaux-Arts de Saint-Etienne in 1992 with Honours, is the author of travel sketchbooks (of which “Esprit de Bretagne” - Hachette Tourisme). Since, he has worked as an Art Director, PR, decopainter, theater critic, ... and freelance illustrator. He contributes to magazines and to several books for teenagers or travel guides. He also take time out from his freelance work to realize portraits. After his first exhibition in 2008, he is invited by the City of Astana- Kazakhstan, for the International Plein Air "I’ve seen Astana".
